ConCourt Knocks Out Three Parties for Election 2024

In a surprising turn of events, the Constitutional Court has delivered a knockout punch to three political parties, effectively barring them from the upcoming 2024 elections.

The African Congress for Transformation, the Labour Party, and the Afrikan Alliance of Social Democrats found themselves on the wrong side of the electoral law after failing to submit their candidate lists before the deadline. The court’s decision, which was as swift as it was decisive, left the parties scrambling for a lifeline, but their appeals were dismissed faster than a politician’s promise.

With the elections just around the corner, these parties will have to sit this one out, leaving the political landscape looking a little less crowded. It’s a tough break for the parties, but hey, at least they’ll have more time to work on their punctuality skills for the next election cycle.

This Constitutional Court drama goes to show that the “free and fair elections” slogan is a fallacy. One thing I know for sure.. The ANC and the IEC is NOT gonna allow any other political party, other than the African National Congress, to win these upcoming national elections.

The Constitutional Court has dismissed former president Jacob Zuma’s request for the 6 judges to rescue themselves from the Independent Electoral Commission’s case.
