DJ Fantan hailed Chivayo for uplifting artists

CHILLSPOT Family leader, DJ Fantan, says businessman Wicknell Chivayo’s donation of a Toyota Aqua and US$ 2 000 cash to their member, Ras Caleb, is another endorsement to the Zimdancehall community.

Ras Caleb has been rewarded for the impact that his new song, ZiG Mari, which promotes the new currency introduced by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, has made.

He is also part of the line-up of artists set to thrill fans at the Independence Gala at Murambinda Growth Point in Buhera.

DJ Fantan, who has been working closely with Ras Caleb, said:

“This donation is a triumph to the Zim dancehall movement and, as one of the people working closely with Ras Caleb, we are proud of him.

“We are taking him to Murambinda for the celebrations taking place on Thursday.”

DJ Fantan again hailed Chivayo for uplifting artists.

“The impact Zim dancehall has made should never be underestimated.

“We are proud of him and what he has done for the sector.”

DJ Fantan will be travelling to Murambinda with his entire Chillspot Family of Levels, Ribhe and Ras Caleb.

The family has been included in the star-studded line-up for the musical extravaganza to be at Murambinda B Primary School from 6 pm to 6 am.

Admission is free.

The other top acts include Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria, Suluman Chimbetu and Sandra Ndebele.

Jah Master, Kanindo exponent Shantel Sithole and Diana “Mangwenya” Samkange, are also part of the line-up.

Chief Hwenje, Last “Tambaoga” Chiangwa, Andy Muridzo, Argatha Murudzwa, Mathias Mhere, Bigboy Motsi, Takura, Simon Mutambi, Bio Mudimba and Mark Ngwazi are also part of the star-studded line-up of musicians.

Last year’s edition of the Independence Day celebrations was held in Mt Darwin, Mashonaland Central.
