‘If it was a final Toney would have played’
Luton v Brentford (15:00 BST)
A reminder that Brentford’s Ivan Toney isn’t in the Bees’ squad this afternoon.
The club have posted an explanation from manager Thomas Frank on X.
“Unfortunately [Toney’s injury] has taken a bit longer than we thought,” he said.
“If it was a Play-Off final, he would have played, but it isn’t, it’s one of five games.
“We want to give him the best chance to get 100% fit. I hope that will be next week against Everton”
